I hate waiting!!!

Why is this taking FOREVER? Don’t they understand how valuable my time is? If they didn’t screw up my tires in the first place I wouldn’t have even had to come back here. I think he’s taking longer on purpose and it’s about time I gave them a piece of my mind.

So I did!

When I got my keys I asked for the manager of the tire shop and when she arrived I began to tell her how slow the people in the shop were. “This is ridiculous! I worked in a tire shop and I know how long it should take to balance two tires,”

I have to be honest I didn’t feel any better when I walked out of the shop. In fact I felt like an idiot. I let my impatience get the better of me, acted like a jerk and gained nothing in return. I won on zero accounts that day.

I forgot that love triumphs over impatience every time.

Have you ever forgotten that? In 1 Corinthians 13:4 we learn three powerful little words that we too often forget “love is patient.”

Just think on that for a second. Love is patient. How many times have we forgotten that simple truth? How many times have we allowed our emotions to get the better of us and put ourselves as more important than others? Way too many for me!

The key to getting over impatience in life is summed up in three little words… love is patient.
It’s the way God treats us. As it says in Numbers 14:18 that “the LORD is slow to anger and abundant in loving-kindness.”

Do you know what it means when it says that God is “slow to anger?” It means he’s patient with us and doesn’t treat us how we deserve to be treated.

It’s something for all of us to think about the next time we decide to become impatient and unkind. We need to remind ourselves how people matter to God so they should matter to us, even if they don’t work within our time slot.

Life is too short to be impatient. Let people see the love of God on you by showing them that love is patient.

Praying for you,
Pastor Zac

Lately, I have been praying that the Holy Spirit pour down His Fruits, and Patience tops my prayer request. Thank you, Pastor Zac. Praying for you.
