Hot Sale On New Hearts
Do you know what the problem is with hearts? You often don’t know there’s a problem until it’s too late. You have a heart attack then the doctor says, “Hey you have a heart problem” and you wish you had known sooner.
So let me help you before it’s too late. You have a very serious heart problem. It’s called a hard heart and if it doesn’t get fixed it’s going to cause irreversible problems. Romans 2:5 says, “Because of your hard and impenitent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself.” That sounds fun doesn’t it?
The good news is that you can get a totally new heart. Not a used one or one found on the black market but one directly from God. For free!
God says in Ezekiel 36:26-27, “I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.”
How do you know you have a new heart? When you start being obedient to God’s word. A hard, stubborn and dead heart wants nothing to do with God. A new, tender and responsive heart can’t get enough of God.
There are a lot of things that can make our hearts hard, like sin, guilt and shame. Only one person can make it soft again- God.
Take a moment today and pray. Ask God to come and give you a new heart and ask him to live there forever.
Talk it over:

- What’s keeping you from receiving your new heart from God? Is that feeling worth it?
- What has changed in your life since God has given you a new heart? Be specific.
- What are some steps you can take to keep your heart soft and responsive toward God?
