"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
2 TIMOTHY 3:16-17

Fusion Leadership Academy FAQ's

How long is the FLA residency & non-residency program?

  • FLA’s residency program starts with a one-year commitment from July to June of the following year.
  • FLA's non-residency program is from September - June.
  • Those who wish to continue to year two will be accepted after completing year one and undergoing an interview process.
  • Applicants who wish to apply after the July start date are encouraged to do so and will be accepted on a case-by-case basis.

What will I learn in the FLA program?

  • Ministry Experience - FLA is designed to give participants a well-rounded, hands-on experience in ministry. No matter your specific calling or desire, we feel those in ministry must understand how each part fits in with and supports the whole body. Ministry is about the people. With that vision, you will receive hands-on experience in every aspect of ministry life. No one ministry is more important than the other.  “As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.” (Ephesians 4:16)
  • Ministry Education – FLA will not only give you ministry experience but will also provide a strong biblical foundation. With our hybrid model of in-person cohorts and online classes (Christian Leaders Institute), you will finish the FLA residency program with a strong foundation in theology and practical application of God’s word.  “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
  • Ministry Focus – As you participate in the FLA residency program, we believe that God will reveal to you a more focused vision of his calling on your life. Often, you don’t know until you do. “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will.” (Romans 12:2)
  • Ministry Greatness – Every Christian is called to greatness. At FLA, we desire that every participant learn what true greatness is. It’s not the kind of greatness the world speaks of, but the kind of greatness Jesus called us to. He said, “Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.” (Matthew 20:26)
  • Note: There will be a graduation ceremony after each year is completed.

What does FLA cost?

  • Participants are to live a life of an overseer as laid out in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. You don’t just become a pastor or minister one day. You become one because you’ve already been living like one. This is the goal of every minister.
  • Participants are expected to attend and serve at Fusion Christian Church services and events.
  • Participants are expected to be active in a small group at Fusion Christian Church.
  • Participants are expected to attend all cohort meetings and events and attend Fusion Christian Church staff meetings when possible. (We understand and want everyone in FLA to have jobs, and we will take this into consideration for each participant.)
  • Participants are expected to complete all program reading and assignments.
  • Participants are expected to serve in support of FLA and Fusion Christian Church leadership and vision.

What is the FLA acceptance process?

  • The senior pastor or program director will review all applicants.
  • All applicants will go through an interview process with the senior pastor or program director.
  • All applicants must submit their social media accounts for lifestyle review. This will allow us to get to know the applicant better. We are not looking for perfect people here. We are looking for people ready and willing to die to themselves, take up their cross, and live for Christ.
  • All applicants will receive an email or phone call upon acceptance.
